The hotel is ideally situated and is closest to the Victoria Falls as well as the town centre. Wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns with the spray of the falls in the background.

We offer superb cuisine while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the gracious surrounds. Accommodation Description:
Ilala Lodge offers 32 standard rooms and 2 deluxe suites. All rooms have en suite bathroom with separate shower, air conditioning, overhead fan, satellite TV and have individual coffee and tea facilities. The rooms are spacious with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio doors leading onto either open lawn or a balcony where you are afforded a view of the spray of the falls from the upper level rooms.
All standard rooms at Ilala Lodge have got 2 x ¾ beds in a spacious room that is decorated
by railway teak. Each room has got an en-suite bathroom all with complimentary soaps , shampoos and conditioners. The bathroom comes standard with a bath , shower and toilet. Standard in each room is an airconditioning unit that ensures guests have a cool retreat to relax in from the heat of the day and overhead is a fan if it is needed. There are french doors in each room that open up to a communal garden. Bottled water is provided for in each of the rooms as well as a kettle for the tea and coffee provided. There is ample in build closet space that will provide a place for guest to put their clothing and personal effects, including a safe to lock away valuables.
Deluxe suites are styled in exactly the same way as the standard suites , with railway teak desks
and décor , but they all have a king size bed in each suite. They all have got an ensuite bathroom and have a shower, bath and toilet in all the suites. Each suite has got a balcony where guests can enjoy some quiet time on the comfortable chairs and table provided. There is a coffee and tea station provided along with the bottled water. These suites are bigger than the standard rooms and are more intimate than the standard rooms.
Activity Description:
Sunset Cruise:“A river of enchantment and magical colours bursting in the sky creating nature’s own masterpiece”, is the only way to describe the African Sunset on the Mighty Zambezi.
Cruise along the banks of the river, and view the spectacular scenery that is nature’s own sanctuary, and home to the “laughing hippos”, the “singing birds” and the “snapping crocodiles”, as you
sip on your drink and indulge on mouthwatering snacks.
Enjoy the hospitality of our professional guide and Captain as you relax and enjoy the delicious snacks and chilled refreshments. See the “smoke that thunders” as you gently cruise the upper Zambezi River. Enjoy the myths and legends as our guide shares stories of the local tribes.
You may be fortunate enough to witness the great African elephant swimming from island to island, grazing or dusting themselves on the riverbanks.
The Zambezi sunset is a highlight of the trip and captivates your magical experience on the Zambezi River.
Upper Zambezi Canoeing
Gently paddle your way on the upper Zambezi River, enjoying the playground of the hippo, the shimmering green home of the crocodile and the watering holes of the buffalo and elephant as you canoe against the majestic backdrop of the Zambezi River.
The canoe trips take guests to the smaller channels and islands of the Upper Zambezi. The professional canoe guide orientates you through the flora and fauna, birding and animal life spotted all from within the unique inflatable canoe boats.
You may be fortunate to spot the Marshall Eagle or watch the Tiger fish jumping and the clawless otter playing in the shallow waters.
The guides will share all the realities of the amazing environment around you. Canoeing is available throughout the year.
